Volunteering (An Application)

In this written co-production task, students are asked to write a formal email of application for an international volunteering position.

The activity helps them demonstrate professional written communication, integrating C1 grammar structures such as inversion (Not only did I...), cleft sentences (What impressed me most was...), and modal expressions of confidence and suitability (I would be delighted to...).

Working on this unit enables learners to refine register, strengthen coherence, and use advanced connectors and intensifiers (utterly, deeply, thoroughly) that add precision and formality to their writing—essential for high-level exam tasks and professional contexts.
