Speaking Time: 4–5 minutes
In this C2 speaking task, students deliver a highly developed monologue giving their opinion on the complexities of modern relationships in today’s individualized society.
Learners are expected to:
analyse the causes behind changes in relationships,
evaluate the impact of a more individualised and fast-paced society,
discuss new roles, expectations, ambitions, and preferences,
and reflect critically on how these factors affect relationship dynamics.
The task requires candidates to go beyond description and demonstrate conceptual depth, abstraction, and mature argumentation, which are key at C2 level.
